"KIDS NEXT DOOR, BATTLE STATIONS! FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!" -- Sector V
Sector V is a KND sector consisting of Numbuhs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, who are the main characters of the Codename: Kids Next Door series with the exception of 6. Their treehouse headquarters is located in a suburban area somewhere in the east coast of United States. The name "Sector V" could be a reference to the state where their base is located, which would be either in Virginia or Vermont (the only U.S. states that begins with "V"). The "V" could also refer to the Roman numeral for the number 5 (the primary number of operatives in that sector). (See Location below for information about where Sector V is stationed.)
Apart from the lost Sector Z, they are regarded as the most powerful and strongest sector within the KND organization, having had more experience fighting the organization's greatest enemies than any other sector. Many operatives collect their autographs and memorabilia, much of which is located within the Kids Next Door Seriously Cool Museum of Artifacts and Stuff.
Operatives
Numbuh 1
See also: Numbuh 1
(Nigel Uno) - The team leader and primary strategist. A stern, but awkward boy from England, he is often encouraged to lighten up but is seen as a source of inspiration for his friends. He has an uncanny knack for landing himself into embarrassing situations. He is rarely seen without his sunglasses and is most curiously bald, apparently was caused by the Delightful Children at some point in the past before joining the KND.
Numbuh 1 is also the only operative of his team to have an admitted girlfriend, Lizzie Devine (who left him later in the series due to his constant KND missions), and is also the only member in Sector V who's an only child. However, he shares a sisterly bond with his cousin. Unlike Numbuhs 2 & 4, Numbuh 1 is the only odd number male member in Sector V.
Numbuh 2

(Hogarth "Hoagie" P. Gilligan Jr.) - The team's primary 2x4 technologist and pilot. A European-American operative and brilliant, friendly and witty oddball born in the U.S.A.. He is often the mood-maker of the group, but is also notorious among his peers for saying incredibly cheesy catch-phrases that he alone finds funny.
Despite his goofy demeanor, he can be a very cunning and methodical thinker when needed. He harbors a crush on his future sister-in-law and constantly hits on her despite her obvious disinterest (though in one instance in which Hoagie finds himself a teenager in Operation: K.I.S.S., Cree takes a genuine interest in him, but is repulsed once she discovers the truth).
Numbuh 3

(Kuki Sanban) - Team's medical specialist, hamsters' caretaker and diversionary tactics expert. She is the youngest and sweetest member in her sector, though she possesses a very fiery attitude when angered. She can be focused and ready for action when the need arises.
Kuki is almost unhealthily obsessed with Rainbow Monkeys and stuffed animals in general and loves all things cute and cuddly. Throughout the series, it is made quite clear that she harbors a huge (and obvious) crush on her Australian operative, and spends the most time around him, although she is close friends with everyone in Sector V. Numbuh 3 is the only Asian member in Sector V.
Numbuh 4

(Wallabee "Wally" Beetles) - The team's combat expert and heavy weapons specialist. Despite the fact that he is the shortest member in Sector V, he shows that he is not someone to be overlooked with his great fighting abilities and unwillingness to give up. Wally is often called the dumbest member, though he has shown a great deal of intelligence in certain situations, suggesting that perhaps he just lacks a little common sense.
He hates all things girly and cute (especially the "cruddy" Rainbow Monkeys), but ironically has an enormous (and obvious) crush on his Asian teammate, who returns his feelings. Though he sports a "tough guy" attitude, Wally is shown to have a soft side on occasion, usually concerning Numbuh 3 in some way or another (he often attempts to be sweet but gets quickly irritated with her girly antics).
Numbuh 5

(Abigail "Abby" Lincoln) - The team's 2nd-in-command and espionage expert trained in stealth, information acquirement and fierce combat. She is the oldest of the group, and by far the most level-headed of all the team members, although she isn't above the occasional awkward moments herself. She has a crush on her teammate.
She has a fierce rivalry with her older sister and has a passion for all forms of candy, being a candy hunter. She sports her trademark red cap, given to her by her sister before she betrayed the KND. Numbuh 5 is non-Asian, alongside Numbuhs 1, 2, & 4, and the only non-Asian female in Sector V.
Numbuh 6
See also: Bradley
(Bradley the Skunk) - The team's spy. Numbuh 6 is a baby skunk that was adopted by Numbuh 2 and 3 in Operation: C.A.M.P.. He was named Bradley by Numbuh 3 and after helping Sector V defeat Chester, he was made an honorary member of Sector V, codename; Numbuh 6, and was returned to his real parents.
Later, Numbuh 6 was sent on a mission to spy on Cree Lincoln, but was hit by a car and mortally injured. Numbuh 2 saved his life by turning him into a cyborg using 2x4 technology and was dubbed R.O.B.O.-B.R.A.D.L.E.Y.

Location
The exact location of Sector V's base of operations has not been revealed. It is presumed to be in the United States, based on the scenery and buildings that can be seen during their missions. The clothing worn by the members of Sector V is also typical of America. Operatives in other Sectors for example, such as C, E, I, and F wear clothing appropriate for their area (China, England, India and France respectively).
However, the sectors usually have the letters corresponding to the initial of the country they are located in. Thus the V might stand for the U.S. state of Virginia or Vermont.
Two specific locations have been mentioned, but neither can be considered a reliable indicator of where Sector V is stationed:
- In "Operation: A.R.C.H.I.V.E.," the adults migrated to a place they called "Cleveland." It is shown to be on the opposite side of the Earth from North America, approximately in Antarctica. The climate of Antarctica does not currently support life in the manner shown during missions (grass, paved roads, a general lack of snow, etc.). The size of the city "Cleveland" grew to would correspond more with either Cleveland, Ohio or Cleveland, Tennessee, both in the United States.
- In "Operation: W.H.I.T.E.H.O.U.S.E.," Nigel Uno (now President of the United States) is shown running from the White House and arriving at the Sector V Treehouse a short time later. This would place the treehouse in or near Washington, D.C., either in Maryland or Virginia, depending on how far Nigel ran. However, since the events he experienced were manufactured as part of a test (essentially a dream), his mind may have shortened the distance between the White House and where the treehouse actually is located.

Trivia
- The name Sector V references how there are 5 members, as "V" is Roman Numeral for "5."
- In Fusion Fall, at the end of the academy, Computers says "...when you arrive in Sector 5..." instead of Sector V, which is the usual pronunciation.
- All the members in Sector V, with the exception of Numbuh 6, have last names related to their codename:
- Numbuh 1 (Nigel Uno): "Uno" is Spanish and Italian for 1.
- Numbuh 2 (Hoagie P. Gilligan Jr.): "Jr." means that Hoagie is the 2nd person in his family to be named "Hoagie," the first person being his father. It could also be referring to his last name "Gilligan," since the title character in Gilligan's Island is known as the "Number 2 Guy."
- Numbuh 3 (Kuki Sanban): "Sanban" means "Number 3" in Japanese, and "San" means "3" in both Japanese and Chinese.
- Numbuh 4 (Wallabee "Wally" Beetles): The Beatles consisted of 4 members (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr). The Beatles were also called The Fab 4 and had bowl haircuts in their earlier years.
- Numbuh 5 (Abigail "Abby" Lincoln): U.S. President Abraham Lincoln is featured on the $5 bill. (Additionally, her full name is 5 syllables, and she is 2nd in command of the 3 other members of the team when Numbuh 1 is not around.)
- All of the Sector V members have something concealing their eyes but have shown them also on occasion. They are as follows:
- Numbuh 1 - his opaque, black shades.
- Numbuh 2 - his yellow-tinted flying goggles.
- Numbuh 3 - her habit of squinting/closing her eyes.
- Numbuh 4 - his long, blond bangs.
- Numbuh 5 - her red cap.
- Each member of the team has a different accent and nationality. They are as follows:
- Numbuh 1: British
- Numbuh 2: American
- Numbuh 3: Japanese
- Numbuh 4: Australian
- Numbuh 5: African-American/French, but only on her mother's side.
- Each member, minus Numbuh 6, has a relative who is evil or has been seen with an antagonistic side towards the group. They are as follows:
- Numbuh 1 - DCFDTL (paternal cousins), Father (paternal uncle), Grandfather (paternal grandfather; self titled)
- Numbuh 2 - Lydia Gilligan (maternal grandmother)
- Numbuh 3 - Mushi Sanban (younger sister)
- Numbuh 4 - Toiletnator (long-lost uncle)
- Numbuh 5 - Cree Lincoln (teenage sister)
- Each member of the team shares certain traits with the members of the Teen Titans, another kid superhero team fighting against evil. They are as follows:
- Numbuh 1: Robin (Both are their respective groups' leaders and are seen to extremely vigilant in nearly every situation)
- Numbuh 2: Cyborg (Both are the inventors of their groups and love to joke around every now and then)
- Numbuh 3: Starfire (Both are seen as the sweetest and most sensitive members of their groups)
- Numbuh 4: Beast Boy (Both rely on their instincts and are shown to be the least intelligent members of their groups)
- Numbuh 5: Raven (Both are regarded as the most reserved members of their groups and are shown to be their groups' voices of reason)
- It was never revealed how Numbuhs 3 and 4 became Kids Next Door operatives, or anything prior to becoming one.
- Numbuh 1 was recruited by Numbuh 5, who in turn was presumably taken in as an agent by her sister, Cree (who was then known as "Numbuh 11").
- Numbuh 2 was known to have been working with Joe Balooka prior to becoming a KND-operative--it's possible that Numbuh 2 ended up being recruited by Numbuh 1, since he had known Numbuh 1 the longest out of the other members of Sector V.
- Numbuh 4 may have also been recruited by Numbuh 1--the two of them had met when Numbuh 1 saved Numbuh 4 from a group of bullies on his first day of school (though it's unknown what grade they were in at the time).
- It was revealed by Mr. Warburton that when Sector V was decommissioned, they will still remember that they are all friends, they just don't remember why.
- However, in the series finale, it's implied that the members of Sector V were never really decomissioned (as indicated by Numbuh 5's ending dialogue) and that they ultimately become undercover teen operatives and then undercover adult operatives for the KND.
- According to Mr. Warburton, the smartest in Sector V are: Numbuh 5, followed by Numbuh 2, Numbuh 1, Numbuh 3, and then Numbuh 4.[1]
- Kuki is the only one on the team whose real name does not end with an "E" or an "L".
- According to Mr. Warburton, Numbuh 5 is the oldest and Numbuh 3 is the youngest.[2]
- With the exception of "Operation: T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G.," at least one member of Sector V appears in every episode.
