Summary[]
Once-sweet Mushi Sanban has one thing in mind after Numbuh 2 got her grounded for forking Numbuh 3's Posh-Party Rainbow Monkey Doll- revenge. She plans his comeuppance by digging the Rainbow Monkey from its burial site at Plush Meadows Stuffed Animal Cemetery, and transferring Count Spankulot's powers into her Spankenstine Monster. The Sanbans and Gilligans are having desert together and Mr. Sanban is trying to make sundaes but becomes upset when he realizes they have no chocolate sauce. Meanwhile, Numbuh 2's grandmother was telling the kids about what she used to have for desert as a kid which annoys everyone. After Mrs. Sanban explains the dilemma to the family, she asks who would like to get the sauce. Numbuh 3 was wanting to. She chooses Numbuh 2, despite him explaining he has an issue with sauce.
Numbuh 2 goes at the local grocery store, getting chocolate sauce and being confronted by Joe Balooka, who accuses him of stealing (especially since his father owns the supermarket), despite the assurance the sauce was paid for. Joe sends his partner Stewie to check to see if Numbuh 2 did leave the money, only to get attack by a giant monstrous Posh Party Rainbow Monkey. Joe tries to stop the monster, but the Posh Party Rainbow Monkey monster just spanks him and throws him away. The monster sees Numbuh 2 and remembers Mushi’s order to spank Numbuh 2. After running away, Numbuh 2 manages to help the Posh Party Rainbow Monkey remember who he is on the inside. Unfortunately Joe hits the Rainbow Money with a water balloon, sending him into a power line and reducing the monkey to stuffing.
After defeating the Spankenstine Monster, Numbuh 2 returns to the house to confront Mushi, however Numbuh 2 is outmatched by Mushi's Crayon base powers. However, while hiding in the closet, Count Spankulot sucks out the stolen powers in the Rainbow Monkey doll to regain his powers back and unleashes a spanking wrath on Mushi for transferring his powers to stuffed animals. Count Spankulot then joins the Gilligans and the Sanbans for dessert, and Numbuh 2 then sneaks a sundae to Mushi, only to discover her riding away with King Sandy.
Ending credits[]
Numbuh 3 sits in between Spankulot and Grandma Lydia as they are shown telling each other stories about their childhood and desserts until she had enough and interrupts them by shouting "STOP IT!". Afterwards, Lydia asks Spankulot if he's married.

Trivia[]
- Hoagie's love of chocolate sauce is an allegory for alcohol addiction ("the sauce" is an old slang term for the drink).
- In the end, the ice cream sundaes have strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, but Mr. Sanban only has a tub of vanilla in the beginning.
- King Sandy doesn't talk and only laughs. He is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker instead of James Arnold Taylor in this episode.
- This is the only episode where Count Spankulot makes a vampiric bite; specifically, on the burnt-out Rainbow Monkey.
- According to Mr. Warburton, this was originally a Thanksgiving-themed episode, with cranberry sauce instead of chocolate sauce, and Mushi transferring the Count's power to every oven, creating an army of spanking undead turkeys. Cartoon Network said that it seemed more Halloween-based.[1]
- Nigel, Wallabee, and Abigail don't appear in this episode, same with Operation: C.L.U.E.S..
- This episode was originally called Operation S.P.A.N.K.S.G.I.V.I.N.G. and as a 22-minute Thanksgiving special, but got cut down to 11 minutes and renamed. The original script was released on the KND Production Blog, but has since vanished.[2]
- The scene inside of Balooka's Grocery Store when Numbuh 2 is at the checkout counter to pay for the chocolate sauce, is a reuse of the inside of the Supervillains Supermarket & Deli. Everything in this specific scene is identical to the Supervillains Supermarket.
- This is the first episode in which in Nigel and Wallabee do not appear in both two stories of an episode. Although only Wallabee does show up with Hoagie in the half-hour episode Operation: S.A.F.E.T.Y..
- The flashback image of Numbuh 2 lying on the floor with empty chocolate cans beside him was meant to be used for the second expansion to the Codename: Kids Next Door Trading Card Game before it was cancelled.
- Mushi is confirmed to be a kindergartener and 5 years old.
- This is Mushi's final major appearance in the series. Her next appearance is a cameo in Operation: I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S..
Series Continuity[]
- This episode is a continuation of the storyline from Operation: C.L.U.E.S..
- The Posh Party Rainbow Monkey's tombstone reads, "the party ended too soon", a reference to its previous appearance.
- Stock footage from Operation: C.L.U.E.S. is used.
- This storyline continues in the comic, Operation: B.O.U.N.C.E..
Cultural References[]
- This episode is a parody of Frankenstein.
- This episode also contains elements from detective films/series, with the monologue, the old police partner and "the sauce" (chocolate sauce instead of alcohol).
Goofs[]
- When Joe grabs Hoagie's can of chocolate, Hoagie's flashlight has disappeared from his hand.
- The placement of the Spankenstine Monster outside of Balooka's Grocery relative to the doors it destroyed changes between scenes without actually moving.
- The patrol carts outside of the store disappear once the Spankenstine Monster appears.
- The immediate area around the store change when the Monster stars chasing after Hoagie.
- When Hoagie first runs towards the power station, the fence is taller than the Monster, but then is lower significantly when Hoage's reaches it.
- Joe returns to the power station without his hat and with a water balloon gun in his hand. But when the Monster is electrified, Joe can be seen with his hat on and missing his water balloon gun.
