Operation: O.U.T.B.R.E.A.K. is the second story in the sixth episode of Season 5 of Codename: Kids Next Door. It first aired on January 14, 2006 on Cartoon Network and follows after the previous story, Operation: V.I.R.U.S..

Summary[]

The KND scientists at the Deep-Sea Science Lab capture "Patient C", due to their belief that she has cooties. When Cree lets Patient C out of her containment unit, in Operation: V.I.R.U.S., as revenge for the KND ruining Cree's date with Numbuh 9, can Sector V recapture the escape without catching "the C.O.O.T.I.E.S."?

Various operatives were chased by and/or being touched by Patient C who just wants to play. Numbuh 59 is seen cowering behind a before Patient C finds him and touches him, scaring him. This freaks out Patient C who promptly runs off, while he is dismayed by having C.O.O.T.I.E.S. but Numbuh 74.239 stated guys cannot get C.O.O.T.I.E.S. from their sister, revealing his relation to the patient. This relieves the brother and he touches Numbuh 74.239 who ironically panics and runs away, yelling that he's got cooties.

Trivia[]

  • It is revealed in this episode that Numbuh 4 is allergic to coconut and will get a swollen face; despite this, he loves Coconut Logs, a type of candy made of and full of coconuts.
  • Sector V and Numbuh 20,000 didn't know about the cooties at the beginning of the mission.
  • According to this episode, "C.O.O.T.I.E.S." stands for Coogitisnal Octo-Oogie Tetra-Infecto Epi-Stractococcus.
  • Numbuh 1 mentions that there are 200 scientists onboard the B.L.U.B.B.E.R., which is likely the same amount of scientists usually stationed at the Deep Sea Science Lab.
  • Everyone except for Numbuh 2 and 5 seem to believe in the "cooties-virus".

  • Cooties is a fictitious childhood disease where a child gets "infected" by touching another child of the opposite gender.
  • Numbuh 4 calls Numbuh 74.239 "dorkenstein", a combination of "dork" and "Frankenstein".

Goofs[]

  • When Numbuh 4 first takes off his helmet, the connected breathing tube disappears.
  • When Sector V first enter the Deep Sea Science Lab through the destroyed door, they somehow end up entering the main chamber from the opposite side. And the destroyed door through which they entered is shown to still be intact.
  • The broken vending machine with coconut candy is actually nowhere near the vending machine that Numbuh 4 was struggling with, but suddenly appears out of nowhere.
  • The contents of the broken vending machine also changes from when Numbuh 4 first approaches it to when he starts eating the candy.
  • Numbuh 4's helmet disappears when Patient C first comes up behind him.
  • Just when Patient C "attacks" Numbuh 4, all the vending machines on the right side behind her are gone.
  • The chair that Numbuh 1 previously sat in behind the control panel has vanished after Numbuh 20,000 suggests they crash the B.L.U.B.B.E.R. into the treehouse.
  • Despite being sent to search the upper levels, Numbuh 5 and 3 somehow end up on the same level as Numbuh 2 and 4 was on earlier with the broken coconut candy vending machine.
