Meeting Of Villains Isn't Entertaining

Operation: M.O.V.I.E. is the first story in the fourth episode of Season 2 of Codename: Kids Next Door. It first aired on October 24, 2003 on Cartoon Network.

Information[]

Summary[]

Numbuh 4 tries to get into an R-rated movie...to find it is a secret villain meeting.

Plot[]

The episode stars where all the kids are watching a Rainbow Monkey movie ("Rainbow Monkeys and the Happy Crown" and "Rainbow Monkeys and the Bouncing Ball") in a cinema and were all enjoying it, all except Wallabee, who is sick of Rainbow Monkey movies, and said rude remarks but Numbuh 1, 2, 3, and 5 didn’t seem to care what Numbuh 4 said, so he tries to enter a movie named "Violence The Movie!" but got thrown off back to Rainbow Monkeys because the movie that Wallabee wanted to see is rated R, meaning it's for adults only. So Numbuh 4 disguised himself as an admiral and went inside with a strange man. Once inside, he sat with the man and was surprised to see a spotlight instead of a projector light. Then Numbuh 4 saw some of the enemies like Mr. Boss, Mr. Jonathan Wink and Mr. Timothy Fibb, Knightbrace, Count Spankulot, the Great Puttisnki, Mega Mom and Destructo Dad, and many others and he finds out that the R Rated adult movies are really secret meetings to plan the destruction of the Kids Next Door and Numbuh 4 remembered when the movie theater employee said that Violence the Movie was rated R for adults only, he really meant for adults only. Toiletnator befriends him, as Numbuh 4 quietly panics at how he is outnumbered by the many enemies. Mr. Boss hosts the event and asks for suggestions on stopping the KND, in which nobody could think of anything, before Toiletnator suggests an idea to Mr. Boss who tries to ignore him but relents. Toiletnator plans they should capture a naïve (stupider) KND operative and is backup by Count Spankulot ironically suggesting Numbuh 4. Everyone agrees but Numbuh 4 figured they were joking but they weren’t. Toiletnator says once he’s their's, he can be bait for the rest of his team who can they lure in and destroy, an idea, for once, is considered great by his peers who laugh themselves silly at how devious it is. Mr. Boss agrees with the Toiletnator’s plan and liked it because Numbuh 4 is stupid anyway. Wallabee insulted and deciding to warning his team asks if he can go to the bathroom, and Mr. Boss tells him that adults don't need to ask permission. Soon, Wallabee is exposed as a kid and attempts to escape but the villains seek to capture him to put their plan into action.

After putting up a good fight, Big Brother captures him in his hand, but then Wallabee, while being fed chocolate balls to be taunted, they will be the last candy he will ever eat, and he spits them into Big Brother's face, before jumping into the window that has the movie projector. Toiletnator comes out to the projector room and was furious that Numbuh 4 ruined his plan and traps and “flushes” Wallabee in toilet paper, angry at the fact that Wallabee ruined his chance of being treated kindly by Mr. Boss and be considered a great villain. Wallabee distracts him by saying that he should be in the movies. Toiletnator starts talking about how great he thinks he will be in the movies, which is when Wallabee gets the chance to trap his toilet paper rolls attached to his arms, rolling into the movie projector. Toiletnator then is thrown out the projector window and Wallabee is back with the rest of Sector V at the end.

He tells his friends that his movie was simple and the episode ends as Kuki describes the Rainbow Monkey movie.

Quotes[]

  • Mr. Boss: Of course. You don't have to ask permission. You're not a kid, you know.
  • Numbuh 4: Oh, yeah. (Laughs nervously) Sorry. Pardon me. Excuse me.
  • Grandma: Whoa!
  • Stomach: Ahh!
  • Numbuh 4: Sorry. My fault entirely.
  • All: (Gasping)
  • Numbuh 4: Excuse me. Whoa!
  • Mr. Boss: Ahh!
  • Numbuh 4: What? You never seen a guy going to the bathroom before?

Trivia[]

  • It's revealed that R-rated movies are actually secret adult meetings, and not movie screenings.
  • Despite previous emphasis and character development in prior episodes, this is actually Numbuh 4's first character episode (second if we count Operation: O.F.F.I.C.E,), making him the third member of Sector V to get one.
  • Toiletnator's disguise makes him look like Albert Einstein.
  • This episode features every villain established up until this point who are still active.
  • Despite the title, this is not an actual movie or special.
  • There were not enough already-established villains to fill the theater, so the designers modeled a lot of new villains after the crew:

Series Continuity[]

  • Numbuh 3 continues to love Rainbow Monkeys while Numbuh 4 still hates them.
  • This is the first appearance of Numbuh 4's Admiral costume later appearing in Operation: C.A.N.Y.O.N..
  • Numbuh 4 will also disguise himself again in Operation: S.L.U.M.B.E.R. when he's not allowed onto Numbuh 86's "mission".
  • This is the first big gathering of KND villains, with the next gathering taking place in Operation: A.F.L.O.A.T..
  • The Toiletnator is revealed to be an embarrassment for the rest of the villains. This does not change over the course of the series.
  • The Toiletnator declares Numbuh 4 to be his greatest enemy.
  • A poster for "Violence: The Movie!" can be seen in Operation: C.L.O.S.E.T., and the movie is mentioned in the comic, Operation: B.O.U.N.C.E..

Pop Culture References[]

Errors/Goofs[]

  • There is actually a misconception: the rating R (Restricted) is actually for 17 and above, and anyone under 17 can watch under the company of an adult. Thus, it is entirely possible for a child to watch an R-rated movie if they are accompanied by an adult. The only movie rating that completely forbids children is the NC-17 rating.
  • Despite the fact that the movie was for adults only, Big Brother is in the theater.
  • When Numbuh 4 is watching the Rainbow Monkey movie, some of the kids sitting around him change between shots.
  • Numbuh 5 is missing in the shot of the kids dancing in their seats after the monkeys found the happy crown.
  • Even though the Toiletnator bought his movie ticket long before Numbuh 4 did, they entered the hall at the same time.
  • Mr. Boss is still drawn with his cigar in his mustache instead of in his mouth.
  • When Count Spankulot stood up and called Wallabee stupid, another one of him seemed to be already sitting in the audience.
  • The villains in the movie theater keep changing seats between shots.
  • Potty Mouth has red eyes in the shot of Numbuh 4 without a disguise in the middle aisle.
  • The Terrible Tutor, Mega Mom & Destructo Dad, and the Proper Patrol chase Numbuh 4 on foot and slip in butter, when they all are able to fly.
  • As Sector V is walking out, all of the movie posters previously advertising the "Rainbow Monkey Double Feature" and "Violence: The Movie" are blank.
  • When a theater staff sends Numbuh 4 back into the Rainbow Monkey movie room as the scene changes after, his left shoe is black instead of white.
