Information[]

Summary[]

As every year, the Delightful Children from Down the Lane refuse to share their birthday cake, and as every year the KND show up to take it. This time the DCFDTL hide in a castle, and the only weapon Sector V has is a group of newly hatched chickies. All the baby chickies think that Nigel is their "mommy", which means trouble. Nigel finds the chickies incredibly annoying and refuse to be their "mommy".

Plot[]

The episode begins in the Command Room of the Sector V Treehouse. Nigel tells his team that the Delightful Children have gone through incredible lengths at preventing them from stealing their cake, so they left the country and are hiding in a castle. Nigel asks the team if they have any ideas. Wallabee says they should beat the crud out of them and steal the cake (Nigel: "Simple."), Kuki says they should convince the Delightfuls to share the cake really nicely (Nigel: "Simple-minded."), Abby says they should go there with a giant robot, because she knows the Delightfuls are armed with a robot and Hoagie says they can egg-inate the Delightfuls with a bunch of fresh eggs, all loaded into his latest invention: the KND E.G.G.A.P.U.L.T. (Enormous Gizmo Goopifies Alotta People Using Latest Technology). Since cakes are made out of eggs, a massive payload of eggs loaded into the EGGAPULT will goopify the Delightfuls without harming their cake.

Nigel considered the idea to be brilliant, but considered it stupid when the team puts their ammo in his room. They decide to get some shut-eye before the big mission tomorrow. When Nigel wakes up, he notices the eggs have hatched! His scream wakes up the rest of the KND. Suddenly, the chicks need to use the bathroom! The kids open a window, activate the Treehouse to tilt over, and the chicks fall out of the window on the ground. A flatulent noise is heard after the chicks go off-screen to use the bathroom. They start for the Castle and since the egg plan didn't work, they'll go back to the default plan: beat the crud out of the Delightfuls, although they weren't expecting more passengers on the M.O.S.Q.U.I.T.T.O.H., due to the fact the chicks want to come along for the ride and think Nigel is their mommy.

While cruising in their M.O.S.Q.U.I.T.T.O.H., the chicks have to use the bathroom AGAIN and Nigel orders Hoagie to do an immediate potty drop. They go to the bathroom and re-enter the MOSQUITTOH. Nigel reads a story to the chicks, but skips the rest of the pages and tells his team he wants a polished fighting force ready to jump when he says, "Jump!". The chicks jump and their little great weight causes the M.O.S.Q.U.T.T.O.H. to go out of control. The ship lands in the Delightfuls' mansion and the chicks watch TV while the KND get ready to steal their cake!

The Delightfuls emit a worldwide broadcast and taunt everyone around the world and tell the children of the world they are about to eat their cake, until the KND enter. The birthday gifts for the Delightfuls merge into a robot. The team tries to fight it, but their weapons don't work and Sir Giftalot tosses Kuki, Wallabee, and Abby into present-like cages while Hoagie blindly runs into a present-like cage. Now Numbuh 1 is the only operative free. He is about to get killed by Sir Giftalot, until the chicks knock it out and merge into a knight surrounding Nigel. The robot tries to slash the chicks, but it keeps missing. The chicks form a sword and slash Sir Giftalot's torso, defeating it and also causing a pile of Rainbow Monkeys to spill out.

The chicks peep at Nigel they have to use the bathroom again while the KND deal with the Delightfuls. Nigel tells the Delightfuls it's the same thing every year -- they never share their birthday cake. As the chicks use the bathroom on the cake, they then change their minds and decide to let them eat the cake. Abby doesn't think it's such a good idea, but tells the Delightfuls they deserve it when Hoagie shows her the cake, which now smells bad. The Delightfuls start to eat their cake and the kids watching them on the TV's worldwide get grossed out.

Operation: C.A.K.E.D.-T.H.R.E.E./Transcript

Trivia[]

  • Numbuh 3 mentioned this episode in Operation: I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S..
  • The DCFDTL finally get a punishment for all their cruelty towards other children on their birthday.
  • The DCFDTL hack into television broadcast to taunt children around the world about their cake; when most kids wouldn't care as they get cake on their own birthdays.
  • This is the first episode written by Billy Aronson.
  • Numbuh 1's room is shown to be located inside of the tallest structure of the treehouse, the same structure that houses the mission prep room.
  • The DCFDTL's castle is located in "Sprekenheim", a fictional European location created for the show. Judging by the map, the castle would actually be located in either Lithuania or Latvia.
  • Numbuh 1's room is not likely to be warm enough to actually hatch all the eggs placed there overnight.
  • Numbuh 5 uses the term "klicks" (kilometer) to say how far away they are from the castle. This is the first time they use a metric system measurement.
    • 97 kilometers from the approximate location of the castle would mean Sector V most likely made the potty stop in Lithuania or in the Kaliningrad Oblast.
  • This is the second time the B.A.T.T.E.R.B.E.A.T.E.R. appears on screen, and it's still not shown how it is used as a weapon.
  • Numbuh 2's line that Numbuh 1 is a "chick magnet" was later used as a title for a trading card of Numbuh 1 in the chick armor.
  • The E.G.G.A.P.U.L.T. never actually appears on screen outside of its data sequence.
  • Like Operation: C.A.M.P., Numbuh 3 got temporarily married with Numbuh 1 to take care of the chicks like she did with Numbuh 2 with Bradley.

Continuity[]

  • This is the third C.A.K.E.D. episode.
  • Numbuh 5 says they know the DCFDTL will have a giant robot waiting for them. The DCFDTL used a giant robot in the last C.A.K.E.D. episode.
  • The idea of the E.G.G.A.P.U.L.T. is similar to the clam cannon from Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N., which was built to shoot clams and in the end, Numbuh 1 had agreed to Numbuh 4’s clam cannon idea.
  • Numbuh 3 understands what the chickens say, like she understands what the KND hamsters say in earlier episodes. She also names the chicks, like she names the KND hamsters.

Pop Culture References[]

  • Numbuh 1 read to the Chicks the summary of the fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood.
  • "I think we're ready for our close-up" is a reference to the line, "All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up," from the 1950 film, Sunset Boulevard.
  • The show being watched on TV looks like a Punch and Judy-themed show.
  • Sir Giftalot is likely designed after the Transformers robots.

Goofs[]

  • The door that Numbuhs 2, 4, and 5 use to exit Numbuh 1's room was the door to Numbuh 1's bathroom back in Operation: B.R.I.E.F..
  • Before all the eggs fall over Numbuh 1, his bed can be seen to contain a mattress and a pillow. The mattress is missing when he wakes up the next morning with a blanket previously not seen in the episode. When Numbuh 5 runs into his room, he is lying on his mattress and his blanket is gone.
  • Chickens can't fly and are not born with covered in feathers.
  • The closest neighboring house to the Uno Residence is now much farther away than in earlier episodes.
  • The launch silo is much bigger in this episode than in earlier episodes.
  • As the team is walking into the launch silo, Numbuh 3 is second to last, but she is walking next to Numbuh 5 and in front of Numbuh 4 when they are going up the ramp to the M.O.S.Q.U.I.T.T.O.H.. When they reach the top, she is second to last again.
  • The book Numbuh 1 was holding disappears after he hits a chick off his chair. All of Numbuh 3's books disappear as well.
  • There is no doormat in front of the exit door of the M.O.S.Q.I.T.T.O.H. when the chicks run to watch TV, but one appears later.
  • When the DCFDTL appear on TVs, their chair's armrests are missing.
  • The DCFDTL look their left to see their birthday cake, but the cake is actually placed behind them and is visible in the shot as their background.
  • Numbuhs 2-5 were imprisoned in small cages by Sir Giftalot, but somehow got out without help from Numbuh 1 after the robot was defeated.
  • The DCFDTL somehow didn't smell the odour of the cake, despite the green smell coming from it.
  • The Hindu kid says, "eating it", without moving his mouth.
