The Kids Next Door 2x4 Technology Convention is the annual 2x4 Technology convention held by the Kids Next Door, which appeared in Operation: S.C.I.E.N.C.E.. Its purpose is to allow 2x4 Technology Officers and Scientists to showcase their newest advancements within 2x4 technology. A panel of judges evaluates the inventions and awards the coveted Chocolate Wrench Award to the best piece of new 2x4 tech. Held in a convention center, it's disguised to look like a national science fair in order to fool the adults.
Judging[]
The judge panel is currently headed by Numbuh 2x4, and made up of Numbuh 74.239, Numbuh 275 and a female scientist. They visit each booth to judge the 2x4 tech on inventiveness, creativity, usefulness, if it's actually a new idea and if it's actually 2x4 tech at all. Even though the panel judges together, they seem to be like-minded on what tech they believe should win each year.

History[]
The annual Kids Next Door 2x4 Technology Convention was held in a big convention center, and could therefore not be kept entirely under the adults' radar. Disguised as the national science fair, it received a short news coverage by the field reporter Brad Punchbeef, who only briefly interviewed Numbuh 2 (whom he called Harvey) before walking out with his camera crew. Once the coast was clear, the kids brought forth their actual projects and the convention started. The panel of judges first approached Numbuh 2, but did not deem his invention to be 2x4 technology. They next came to Numbuh 202, whose "Cheek Tazer" was liked by all the judges. Numbuh 30c of Sector H was the next with his machine to make snowballs in the summer, but similar inventions had already been invented, and did not therefore impress the judges. The next booth to grab the judges' attention was Numbuh 80, who presented several tech inventions, but was too annoying to talk to. Moving on, Sector C was next to show their "Smoku Tarts", which became the favourite so far in the contest. Numbuh 1-2-3's "Thumbercise" was the next invention shown before the judges, who saw it to just be a rubber band. The last booth visited was Sector F with their "Le Filthe", which was such a brilliant invention that it won them the 2x4 tech award (Operation: S.C.I.E.N.C.E.).
Convention under attack
As the contestants were cleaning up their booths, they were suddenly attacked and kidnapped by Mechapillars. Believing the KND Splinter Cell to be behind it, Sector V managed to save Numbuh 2 before flying away from the convention center (Operation: A.M.I.S.H.).
Trivia[]
- Following the events of THE G:KND EXPERIMENT, it's assumed that another KND scientist filled Numbuh 74.239's spot in the judges' panel.
- Other inventions brought to the convention include an (assumed) improved version of the G.O.G.E.T.T.E.R. by Sector M and Barf-Ex by Numbuh 71.562 (which was cut from the episode).
- The 2x4 convention takes place in the same Convention Center where the adults and Father in Operation: Z.E.R.O. recommissioned Grandfather.
